This Fellowship Friday will explore “Balancing Law and Mercy: Understanding Immigration in Today’s World.” Immigration is often a polarizing and emotionally charged topic, especially within faith communities seeking to uphold both compassion and order. In this presentation, Barbara Perez offers a clear, non-political overview of how the U.S. immigration system works—what the law says, how mercy can be extended, and why both matter.
Grounded in biblical principles of justice and hospitality, this talk will cover real-life scenarios, common myths, and practical insights to help Christians better understand and engage with immigration through the lens of both law and grace.
